How People Try To Use Fake Diplomas

A lot of people buy fake diplomas these days, but most often, the reason is not really harmless and they don't really intend to do anything illegal about it. The most they do is to use it to show off to their friends and family, as a way to increase their level of qualification and impress other people. But, other than that, the fake diploma or fake college degree stays hung up on the wall somewhere around their house or hidden in a drawer.

In some cases, however, people use fake diplomas as a way to "prove" their qualifications. People who weren't really interested in studying but need a diploma or degree to get a job or get ahead in their career will also be tempted to use a fake diploma from an online diploma mill to further themselves.

Below are two of the biggest ways people use fake diplomas:

1. Impressing Friends and Family

A lot of people buy fake certificates to try and impress other people. Of course, the first they want to impress are themselves. They buy a fake piece of certificate to help boost their self-esteem and make themselves feel better. Afterwards, they show it off to other people. Also, in this day and age, some have even gone as far as to try using fake college degrees to try and stay relevant on social media and boost the number of likes or followers they have.

2. In Place of Original Documents

This is probably the biggest reason why people order fake diplomas or degrees online. Some jobs require physical proof of having a high school diploma or college degree during the interview process, and more often than not, acquiring one can take a lot of time. Or, at least, take considerably longer than just ordering a fake diploma that approximates the real thing close enough that it can pass being used in a job interview.

This is still a grey area, so be careful. But, considering that you do actually have the diploma or degree and a background check will proof that, the worst that your employer can do is to reject you based on other criteria. In fact, some might even applaud you for being resourceful enough to find a way to present a diploma or degree on such short notice.

Is It Risky?

If you're using it to apply for a job, then yes, it is very risky. But, as mentioned previously, if you're not truly faking anything and everything you put in your resume is true, then what's the harm?

The truth is, you're free to use a fake high school diploma or fake college degree to showcase to some extent. However, try not to depend on them when you're applying for a job. In fact, don't use them at all. Don't even try to lie on your resume. Employers will catch on eventually, and it won't be good for your career when that happens. You probably won't even be able to find a job in the same industry if you're caught faking your credentials!
